Plans (from chatgpt.com/pricing)

OpenAI lists Free, Go, Plus and Pro for individuals, plus Business and Enterprise for teams. Dollar amounts weren't shown on the pricing page when we checked, so check current pricing there before you buy.

  • Free: unlimited text chats (within abuse guardrails), with limited uploads, images, voice and deep research.
  • Go: more messages, uploads and images, plus longer memory and scheduled tasks. OpenAI says this plan may include ads.
  • Plus: advanced reasoning models, expanded deep research, projects, custom GPTs and spreadsheet and Office extensions.
  • Pro: three usage tiers, the longest work sessions and "Dot," an always-on agent.

Everyday uses that work well

  • Meal plans and grocery lists built from what's in your fridge
  • Explaining a confusing bill or lease clause in plain English
  • Drafting a polite but firm email to a company

Our take

Start on free. If you hit limits every week, Go is the smallest step up. Plus makes sense if you lean on research or projects.
