Grok Bot review: what $30 a month gets you now
Prices checked October 14, 2026. Prices change often, so check the vendor's pricing page before you buy. This page may contain affiliate links. See our disclosure.
Short version: Grok Bot is an AI agent that can take on multi-step jobs for you, not just answer questions. It isn't sold on its own. It comes with the X Subscription, starting at the Premium tier.
Pricing (from x.ai/pricing)
| Plan | Price | Grok Bot? | Usage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/mo | No | Limited chat and agent requests |
| Plus | $8/mo | No | Basic shared usage pool |
| Premium | $30/mo | Yes | 4x Plus usage |
| Super | $100/mo | Yes | 15x Plus usage, priority at peak times |
| Ultra | $200/mo | Yes | 50x Plus usage |
Taxes aren't included. On every tier, usage is a shared pool across Grok Chat, Imagine, Voice and Bot that refreshes weekly. xAI says subscriptions are sold only through its official site, so skip resellers.
What it's good for
- Errands and research you'd normally spend an evening on, like comparing quotes or digging through options.
- Small-business busywork, such as drafting emails, organizing files and keeping lists up to date.
- X perks come with it: Premium adds the checkmark, ad-free scrolling on most surfaces and reply boost.
Which tier?
xAI's own advice is Premium for new AI users, Super for daily agent users and Ultra for power users. We'd start on Premium and move up only if you keep running out of weekly usage.
Watch-outs
- Agents can make mistakes. Review anything that sends money or messages for you.
- Heavy agent use eats through the pool faster than chat does.
